Watershed Planning and Water Conservation
Currently IRZ is involved in developing a Regional Water Plan and all related
engineering designs that meets the water needs of 4 municipalities, a group of
irrigators, an irrigation district, and the local native American Tribes' fish
enhancement project. This cooperative effort is a new design concept involving
construction of a new river pumping station and 11 miles of 60 inch pipeline to
expand the existing Phase-1 and Phase-2 of Project for enhancing fishery while
maintaining the economic viability of the local Irrigation Districts.
Team member involved in developing a Comprehensive Watershed Plan to enhance
fishery flow in the Salmon Creek in Washington State while maintining and
enhancing existing irrigation use from the same river. IRZ was involved in
design of a new 7,000 horsepower river station on the Okanogan River with 3.5
miles of 48 inch diameter pipeline. Included was also identifying and
implementing district-wide water conservation measures.

Snake River and a dozens of its trubutries in Western Idaho for State of Idaho.
The objective of the project was to quantify the river temperature; it involved
GPS and GIS work.

covering two dozen rivers and streams for State of Idaho. The objective of the
project was to quantify river temperature and riparian zone vegetaion
assesment. It involved GPS and GIS work.
