IRZ CONSULTING is a recognized leader in water conservation technologies and currently provides irrigation scheduling
and crop water use information to over 350,000 acres of irrigated lands in the Columbia Basin of Oregon and Washington State.
As part of our water conservation service we provide:
Soil moisture monitoring and scientific irrigation scheduling services. During the growing season, our trained field technician
use neutron probes to measure each foot soil moisture up to 3 to 5 feet below the surface. Each probe is calibrated for each soil type in a field.
The same day a complete report including soil moisture graphs and recommended next irrigation amounts and hours of operation is presented to each of our farm clients.
We also provide a comprehensive final irrigation/conservation report at the end of the season. This service has documented water and energy savings of 10% to 20%.
Our on-line Northwest Irrigation Network provides daily crop water use and evapotranspiration reports for over 25 crops over many regions.
Started in 1983, it is one of the longest on-line water conservation service providers in the United States. Reports and data are updated daily and
provides many useful irrigation reports and links.
Aerial Infrared service for use in agriculture. Infrared can see and identify problem areas that the naked eye can not see, and thus it is used as an early warning detection tool.
Each infrared image can quickly identify plugged nozzles, uneven irrigation patterns, design problems, and the soil, fertility and disease problems.
Development of comprehensive water conservation plans for irrigation districts, private farms, State, and Federal agencies.
Conduct seepage losses for canals, flow testing, and irrigation audit of existing systems. Will develop conservation plans which documents water and energy savings,
provides engineering solutions, and the associated cost of each conservation measures.
Irrigation Scheduling Software. Our engineers and agronomists developed irrigation scheduling software "IRIGATE 2000", that recommends the amount and timing of the next irrigation, and
can graph soil moisture for each field. It has been successfully in use for over 15 years. It can be used by a private farm, or by water agencies that want to provide crop water use
information for a large geographical areas.
What distinguishes our service? 20 YEARS OF CONSERVATION EXPERIENCE!
